This is a remote role that can be based anywhere in the U.S. except Montana, New York, New Jersey and Washington, D.C.

What you will be accountable for: 

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer works collaboratively with end users to develop reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision-making. The BI Developer uses warehouse data to solve organizational problems through reports, analysis and data visualization. The BI Developer will provide enterprise wide data warehouse expertise with emphasis on data design, access, usage, security and quality of information assets. 

Responsibilities include:   

  • Provides innovative ideas and creates best practices for designing and developing Business Intelligence solutions (ie. • Data Visualization, Data Blending / ETL, Data Warehousing tools).  [25%]
  • Develops advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using Power BI.  Establish and enforce QBP standards for report design and development [25%]
  • Discover and implement business-focused insights using data within the organization that drives business decisions using the data warehouse and BI tools.  Drives adoption of dashboards and usage of PowerBI for both self-service and ad-hoc analysis by providing consultation and training for end users [15%]
  • Work alongside Data Analysts to gather requirements through solicitation sessions with business users and translate requirements into technical architecture vision and implementation plan [10%]
  • Perform technical troubleshooting, code debugging, and problem solving for data warehousing and business intelligence solutions that are aligned to SDLC and BI Strategy.  Ensure solutions are reliable, scalable, and relevant and appropriate while promoting best practices within the BI Development team [10%]
  • Work to establish Data Governance to identify and communicate data quality and data reconciliation issues [10%]

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Management Information Systems, or similar.
  • 3+ years of SQL development experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with a Business Intelligence platform, preferably Power BI.
  • Ability to be technology agnostic when exploring solutions; willingness to work in multi-vendor environment (AWS, Microsoft, others)
  • Ability to solve business problems by designing and building reports and queries, enhancing the ETL and databases, or identifying root cause issues
  • Experience with the Agile development methodology.

Quality Bicycle Products approaches pay in an ethical and transparent way.  Pay ranges are assigned to a job based on market data from 3rd party salary benchmark data as well as balancing internal equity of other roles with similar levels of responsibility.  Individual pay within the range can vary for several reasons including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, tenure, performance, and available budget.
